I have been a huge Patchwork Show fan for a few years now. I always make it a point to visit my local Patchwork Show in Long Beach for handmade gifts, but this year I applied to be a vendor at the Santa Ana show. I was delighted to be accepted, and VERY impressed by the Santa Ana location.
The area in downtown Santa Ana where the show is held is a historic district. The buildings are beautiful and the atmosphere is just delightful, It didn't hurt that the weather was beautiful as well. The show kicked of at 11:00 am and there tons of visitors from the get go.
My favorite thing about participating in craft shows is the opportunity to meet my clients in person. It was very nice to see so many people enjoying picking out gifts for their loved ones and swooning over gifts for themselves. My second favorite thing, is having the opportunity to walk around and visit with fellow artists.
These companies were two of my favorites:
Yellow 108 - They have fabulous handmade felt hats and bamboo sunglasses. My brother Kevin is wearing their grey fedora in the photo above. I also love that they are from Long Beach. http://www.yellow108.com/
LOVE NAIL TREE - This company offers a large selection of cool tanks and t-shirts with thought provoking messages and graphics. I escaped with a few. http://lovenailtree.com/
Aloha! Hawaii was so much fun that we almost ditched our flight home. Chad, and our two friends were all first time visitors to Oahu so we made sure to pack our trip with adventures. It was great that e got to spend a lot of time with my sister, who lives on Oahu. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip.
In a few days I leave for Hawaii!! Chad and I are going on vacation with a couple of our friends and I couldn't be more excited. My sister lives in Honolulu and plays soccer at the University of Hawaii, so it is a bonus that I will get to visit her too.
